To name a few of our achievements the product line has been upgraded, research work on new technologies was started, the Image Processing Laboratories reconfigured as per the latest syllabi and current products available, we added technical and sales personnel, new resellers were appointed to cover fresh territories, Lan-T (Our Innovative Low Cost Networking Trainer) crossed 50 installations in India and 100 worldwide.
Our new product OFS System A was launched in May 2003 to an excellent response from Fibre Optic Communication Departments. In less than a year we have installed more than thirty laboratory systems. We have also revamped the Benchmark website to ensure that you have easy access to the latest information about Benchmark products. New OFS Series of Fibre Optics Labs
Benchmark launched the OFS System A in May 2003. The new laboratory trains students on the characteristics and commercial applications of fibre optic devices’ & equipment. It covers devices like LASER Diodes, Avalanche Photodiodes & equipment like OTDR, Optical Power Sources & Meters and Fibre Optic Links, etc. The lab also has components for students to design their Student Experimental OTDR.
The OFS System A has been designed with active collaboration of faculty at various colleges to ensure proper coverage of the recommended latest fibre optic laboratory syllabus across different universities like Anna University, JNTU, Delhi University, UP – Tech University, etc.
This was followed by an extremely positive feedback session with professors from approximately 30 colleges during Short Term Training Programme on "Communication Practice" conducted by the School of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Faculty of Information & Communication Engineering, College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University. The discussions we had with them have been incorporated to ensure that the teaching community is able to fully utilize the functionality of the laboratory. As of now more than thirty colleges are using OFS System A and their number is rapidly increasing.
